The Orchestra continues the celebrated musical legacy of Electric Light Orchestra and ELO Part II, bringing decades of experience and iconic hits to the stage. This accomplished ensemble features original ELO violinist Mik Kaminski, who joined the band in 1973 and is renowned for his dynamic stage presence and signature blue electric violin.
The lineup also includes Eric Troyer, a founding member of Electric Light Orchestra Part II, whose distinctive voice and keyboard work have been a staple for over 30 years. Troyer’s impressive resume includes vocal contributions to mega-hits by John Lennon, Billy Joel, and Bonnie Tyler. Parthenon Huxley, a talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist, joined ELO Part II in 1998 and contributed four songs to The Orchestra’s studio album,
No Rewind. His outstanding vocal and guitar work can also be heard on The Orchestra Live, recorded before 8,000 fans in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The rhythm section is anchored by drummer Gordon Townsend, who joined The Orchestra after replacing ELO founding member Bev Bevan. Townsend is praised for his “rock solid power and finesse”. Rounding out the band is Glen Burtnik on bass, whose extensive career includes a stint as Paul McCartney in Beatlemania, a Billboard #2 hit, and ten years as frontman for rock legends Styx.
